IT Category Buyer

Settle for the status quo? Or build the future you want? We are looking that has excellent leadership skills and with approximately 5-7 years of experience in IT and Telco sourcing and procurement.

You will be part of the IT & Telco procurement category for the BeNeLux area.

Focused on the IT/Telco category and dedicated to delivering the best possible service to our business stakeholders in BeNeLux, you are responsible for meeting the KPI targets set by procurement in your scope (either HW , SW or Telco).

You will be working with many different functions such as Legal, buying centers and the Global Procurement team, which may mean the need for mobility and flexibility. You will report to the BeNeLux IT/Telco Procurement Category Manager based in Utrecht, with a dotted line report to our CPO in the BeNeLux.

Our global procurement team of circa 400 professionals works across multiple categories and countries. As a part of global procurement, you will be a part of that story, participating in bids and ongoing business for our internal and external clients - leveraging our alliances and vendors. Your role will include:

• Implementing and driving global sourcing strategies in your category perimeter (HW, SW or Telco).
• Business partnering for local deal and account teams. Defining go to market and sourcing strategies contributing to the global financial objectives and success of the company.
• Aligning with the strategy and objectives of the BeNeLux Business Leaders and Global Procurement, ensuring Group standards, policies, practices and processes are adhered to.
• Contributing to Category Management and Strategy Planning to support the savings target and give budget inputs.
• Delivering savings (P&L, cashback and cost avoidance) to the BeNeLux Business in order to meet or exceed targets.
• Vendor local management and contract negotiations.
• Contributing to analysing procurement related data, creating and maintaining reports and management presentations.
• Contributing to the improvement and development of procurement specific processes and tools aligned with our global approach.

• Track record of delivering savings, whilst also understanding the value of quality and service provision
• Good negotiation skills and contract knowledge
• Category Planning – strategy setting
• Financial and commercial understanding
• Very good communication and networking skills and is able to work effectively as either an individual or as part of a team in a matrix environment
• Good problem solving skills and can-do attitude
• Strong influencing skills to use both a facilitative and directive approach to “sell” method to internal clients and negotiate with suppliers
• Can adapt to fast changing schedules and priorities
• Strong communication skills both oral and written in English, Dutch will be a plus.
